Donors Ease Cost of Student Travel

Students who participated in study abroad trips to Germany and Czechia this summer were aided in part by the generosity of donors.

Classroom and business visits as well as cultural experiences helped put Czechia’s integration efforts toward adoption of the Euro, while engineering technology students learned about aspects of German manufacturing during the department’s first study abroad trip.

Dr. Jeffrey Zimmerman, dean of the School of Business, said that generous contributions by donors helped defray the costs for students traveling overseas.

“Through their support, the Plaster School of Business was able to help 19 of our students get the opportunity to explore the world beyond Southwest Missouri,” he said. “These kinds of opportunities can be life changing for our students and I am deeply grateful to our donors who help make these experiences possible.”
