More than 100 university supporters who have provided annual donations at the leadership annual giving level were welcomed to the inaugural Lion Leaders Luncheon on March 14.

During the event in the North End Zone Facility, members of the university’s administration provided campus updates and stories of student accomplishments.

Speaking to those in attendance, Missouri Southern President Dr. Alan Marble thanked donors for the tremendous difference they have made in students’ lives.

“Providing for others so their future may be brighter is a very generous and noble thing to do, and we cannot thank you enough for that,” he said. “When these students finish their degrees, they will go on to become leaders in their communities with the ability to touch thousands of lives.

“It is our fervent hope that, like you, they will pass the torch of philanthropy and generosity to the next generation.”

In all, more than 300 friends, graduates and businesses were invited to the event based on their donations in 2017.

The Missouri Southern Foundation recognizes donors in a variety of ways. The Lantern Society recognizes cumulative lifetime giving. Lion Leaders recognizes outstanding annual gifts. Loyal Lions recognizes consecutive year donors. Click on the links below to see the members of each society.
